Matematik\u00e7iler i\u00e7in temel olan Kitab-\u00fcl Muhtasar fi Hesab-il Cebri ve\u2019l-Mukabele adl\u0131 eseri me\u015fhurdur.<\/p>\n

Cebir s\u00f6zc\u00fc\u011f\u00fc de H\u00e2rizm\u00ee\u00a0‘nin “El\u2019Kitab\u2019\u00fcl-Muhtasar fi H\u0131sab\u2019il Cebri ve\u2019l-Mukabele\u201d (Cebir ve Denklem Hesab\u0131 \u00dczerine \u00d6zet Kitap) adl\u0131 eserinden gelmektedir. Bu eser ayn\u0131 zamanda do\u011fu ve bat\u0131n\u0131n ilk m\u00fcstakil cebir kitab\u0131 olma \u00f6zelli\u011fini ta\u015f\u0131maktad\u0131r. Kitab\u0131n asl\u0131, Oxford\u2019daki Bodliana k\u00fct\u00fcphanesindedir.<\/p>\n

Matematikteki \u015f\u00f6hreti on alt\u0131nc\u0131 y\u00fczy\u0131lda Avrupa\u2019y\u0131 etkisi alt\u0131na alm\u0131\u015ft\u0131r. H\u00e2rizm\u00ee\u00a0\u2019nin ismi Avrupa\u2019da t\u00fcrl\u00fc \u015fekillerle s\u00f6ylenmi\u015ftir. Latince\u2019de \u201cAlkhorismi<\/strong>\u201d \u015feklinde s\u00f6ylenerek buldu\u011fu metod Algoritma (algorizme) olarak literat\u00fcre ge\u00e7mi\u015ftir.<\/p>\n

Halen kullan\u0131lmakta olan; toplama, \u00e7\u0131karma, \u00e7arpma, b\u00f6lme say\u0131lar\u0131n\u0131 en b\u00fcy\u00fck ortak b\u00f6lenlerini ve en k\u00fc\u00e7\u00fck ortak katlar\u0131n\u0131 bulmak gibi bilinen b\u00fct\u00fcn aritmetik i\u015flem metodlar\u0131 birer algoritmad\u0131r. Bilgisayarlar ve hesap makinalar\u0131na yerle\u015ftirilen, \u00e7e\u015fitli i\u015flemlere ait programlar da birer algoritmad\u0131r.<\/p>\n

Algoritma s\u00f6zc\u00fc\u011f\u00fc, \u00d6zbekistan’\u0131n Harezm, bug\u00fcnk\u00fc T\u00fcrkmenistan’\u0131n Hive kentinde do\u011fmu\u015f olan Ebu Abdullah Muhammed \u0130bn Musa el H\u00e2rizm\u00ee\u00a0‘den gelir. Bu alim 9. y\u00fczy\u0131lda cebir alan\u0131ndaki algoritmik \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalar\u0131n\u0131 kitaba d\u00f6kerek matemati\u011fe \u00e7ok b\u00fcy\u00fck bir katk\u0131 sa\u011flam\u0131\u015ft\u0131r. “Hisab el-cebir ve el-mukabala” kitab\u0131 d\u00fcnyan\u0131n ilk cebir kitab\u0131 ve ayn\u0131 zamanda ilk algoritma koleksiyonunu olu\u015fturur. Latince \u00e7evirisi Avrupa’da \u00e7ok ilgi g\u00f6r\u00fcr. Alimin ismini telaffuz edemeyen Avrupal\u0131lar “algorizm” s\u00f6zc\u00fc\u011f\u00fcn\u00fc “Arap say\u0131lar\u0131 kullanarak aritmetik problemler \u00e7\u00f6zme kurallar\u0131” manas\u0131nda kullan\u0131rlar.
