Bu s\u0131n\u0131ftaki metallerin \u00f6zellikleri birbirine benzemesine kar\u015f\u0131n bilhassa Kalsiyum, Stronsiyum, Baryum di\u011ferlerinden ayr\u0131l\u0131r. Bu \u00fc\u00e7 element adi derecede suyu ayr\u0131\u015ft\u0131rarak Hidrojen a\u00e7\u0131\u011fa \u00e7\u0131kar\u0131r ve Hidroksit(OH) olu\u015ftururlar. Bu Hidroksitler de \u0131s\u0131t\u0131ld\u0131\u011f\u0131nda su kaybederek Oksit haline d\u00f6nmektedirler. Karbonatlar\u0131 \u0131s\u0131 kar\u015f\u0131s\u0131nda kolay ayr\u0131\u015fmas\u0131na kar\u015f\u0131n Baryum Karbonat (BaCO<sub>3<\/sub>) en zor ayr\u0131\u015fan\u0131d\u0131r. S\u00fclfatlar\u0131 suda hemen hemen hi\u00e7 erimez.<\/p>\n<p>En s\u0131k bulunan ve en \u00e7ok kullan\u0131lan Baryum kayna\u011f\u0131 Barit madenidir.
